Intermediate – 2nd & 3rd Class NS Students

This session gives students the opportunity to develop dance, drama and singing abilities in a highly enjoyable manner. Dance will incorporate styles such as musical theatre, modern, and jazz. During singing the tutor will develop the natural voice e.g. tuning and projection, encourage singing with confidence in both solo and group work. Drama exercises will help to develop stagecraft, imagination, confidence, vocal technique, group participation and also an introduction to script.

Drama, make believe and role-play are some of the most instinctive things that children do. They laugh, they play, they learn. The emphasis is on role-play and imagination, which help harness the many benefits of Drama, Confidence, Imagination, Communication and Creativity. Our workshops are a safe and creative environment for children to express themselves freely.

This is all delivered in a supportive, lively, and fun filled class. Students’ main shows are held annually and parents/guardians are also invited to our classes throughout the school year for a ‘fly on the wall’ experience. This is a great opportunity for parents/guardians to see exactly what their child learns in our weekly classes.

Intermediates also participate in the Annual Panto (Term 1) and the Senior Musical (Term 2) giving them valuable opportunities to learn stagecraft and team building skills.
